Oasis Project definition:
- The Oasis Project is an educational proposition which is aimed at the collective of young people that is found in the scholastic-labour transit.
Oasis Project's objectives:
- The main aim of this project is to satisfy the needs of the young people, increasing the power of the labour adaptability, to a diversity of means in a changeable society.
Oasis Project's effects:
- The participation within this project will facilitate the socio-cultural exchange among the young people belonging to a diversity of nationalities.
- We pretend with this to promote the apprenticeship of customs, languages, new labour strategies, as well as the diversity of alternatives offered to them.
Oasis Project's resources:
- This project will be financed with private enterprises, belonging to the different nationalities in order to promote them commercially in our country, because they will form part of an social initiative that will help young people to include themselves in the labour world, to which they need to be adapted to, according to their expectations.
Global Time: 1 month.
- Teaching Spanish customs. Living together with a Spanish family.
- Spanish language course: Basic and Commercial levels (according to your knowledge).
- Participation within the OASIS Association (Duration: intensive).
- Course:
* The creation of your own company.
* Duration: 1 week.
* Practice: A Role-play showing the management of a company.
- Course:
* Useful techniques to find a job.
* Duration: 3 days.
* Practice: A Role-play consisting on an interview.
- Course:
* Social interaction in another country.
* Duration: one day per week.
* Practice: Group Dynamics, living together with a Spanish family.
- Visiting Spanish companies:
* Entry: First, fill in a questionnaire to determine the basic knowledge acquired.
* During: Participating in the development and functioning of the company.
* Final: debate and solution of doubts.
- Leisure Time:
* Visiting Osborne wine cellars.
* Learning how to play Golf.
* Learning how to make windsurf.
* Journey on a ship.
* Visiting shopping centres.
* Visiting Seville (Giralda, cathedral).
* Visiting Cadiz (cathedral, beaches, museums).
* Visiting Jerez (museum, Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art).
- Methodology:
* A methodology which promotes the interaction among the members of a group will be applied. The following principles will be taken into account: Participation, Activity, Creativeness, Collaboration, or Autonomy.
* Group's Dynamics Techniques:
- Debate: in which interesting themes will be discussed.
- Role-playing: a piece of drama in which something from real life will be interpreted.
- Interview: the roles of interviewer and interviewed will be adopted.
- Audio-visual helps:
* Supplementary material so as to help the student will be provided: including videos or specialised books.
